Philip Dacey
Philip Dacey (1939-2016) is the author of fourteen books of poems and numerous essays and writings on poetry. With David Jauss, he co-edited the influential Strong Measures: Contemporary American Poetry in Traditional Forms (Harper & Row, 1985). For thirty-five years a professor of English at Southwest Minnesota, he moved in 2004 to New York City, returning to Minnesota in 2012. He died there from leukemia in 2016.
