Susan M. Schultz

Susan M. Schultz is author, most recently, of Meditations: December 2019-December 2020 (Wet Cement Press), Lilith Walks (BlazeVox), I Want to Write an Honest Sentence (Talisman), and a series of Memory Cards collections from various presses. She writes about memory and—in the cases of Dementia Blog and “She’s Welcome to Her Disease”: Dementia Blog, vol. 2 (Singing Horse Press)–forgetting, in the context of personal and public histories.  A Poetics of Impasse in Modern and Contemporary Poetry was published by the University of Alabama Press’s Modern and Contemporary Poetics series. She was founder/editor of Tinfish Press for 22 years, as well as a mental health advocate at the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa. Since her retirement, she has devoted more time to photography. A life long fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, she lives in Kāneohe and Volcano, Hawai`i with her husband, three cats, and a dog, Lilith.
